Heya! I'm new....ish to the MUCK. I've had Ashanti for about a month now and have had some pretty cool rps with a variety of characters. First and foremost, thanks for that! I have a suggestion though. When I @requested my character and got her description up and whatnot, I was waiting around for approval, and the day that I was able to go out on the grid, I kind of found out by accident that I was approved. Same thing happened when I requested an alt recently. I had no notification that I was good to go. Is there a way that players can be notified when their new characters have been approved? Like an automatic muckmail or something? Pagemails likely would work too, but I don't think players are automatically notified when they connect that they have a page mail. The notification comes when you try to page someone, and if the player is a newbie, they may not be prone to paging someone since they have chat channels to communicate with others through. Just a suggestion!

As it's currently set up now, when you @request a character it is automatically created and processed right then and there -- no validation is required before you can freely enter the MUCK grid. The wiz-approval is just a safe-check after the fact to make sure it's an acceptable species et al -- once you've sent in the request, you're good to go.
